Route One California Grill in Cambria

This place is amazing! First of all, the quality of the food was exceptional. Beyond that, the staff was very accommodating and attentive. They were helpful with my food intolerances. I will definitely be returning here whenever I'm in the area.

Loved this sweet spot. The food is genuine home cooking at its best. I had a great grilled salmon with salad and Big Sir had some bacony, high fat man thing that he loved. There was a homecoming parade coming down Main St. while we were there for lunch. Our server told us her daughter was in the parade, she was so proud and it was just a grear moment. Highlight was the pumpkin bread pudding with a giant dollop of whipping cream. Another patron, on her way out told us we HAD to order it. It was memorable...and there were other tables enjoying it too. Fabulous outdoor patio in the back. Hit up one of the amazing hikes along the ocean bluffs before or after. Makes for a great day on the central coast.

We had another delicious dining experience at Indigo Moon. One of our favorite restaurants when visiting Cambria. Our waitress Carmen is always sweet and helpful. We ordered the duck It was very tender and flavorful.

Ambience seemed nice and dog friendly patio was very nice. However, the menu is drastically different and prices are almost twice what they show on their website. We ended up leaving.

Beautiful outside garden patio - a must during the pandemic! Fabulous variety on the menu - oodles of choices! Everything was cooked to perfection! The sauces were splendid! Everything was exquisitely flavorful - even the garlic green string beans! What a random find! Glad Robbin's was too full. Definitely will be coming back to Indigo Moon - as 1st choice!

Really welcoming, friendly staff who are knowledgeable about the food and it's complete preparation. Lots of wonderful apps to choose from, in fact, we ended up with a sampling of apps as well as a side of sweet potato fries (normally not my favorite, but these were amazing--aioli was to-die-for), a bowl of the lobster bisque, and the salad with brie and grapefruit (tangy). Everything was wonderful, in presentation and taste. Super happy with this pick!

The dinner was great from start to finish! We started with the amazing fig and kalamata olive tapenade and finished with the crumble for dessert and all 4 courses were excellent

I have been coming here for years and their food is beyond excellent.

I like this venue very much. there is a very special ambiance. The kitcen is exeptionaly good. the service is powerful and the crew is friendly. The cost is fair. extremely recommend.

I venture to Cambria on my birthday and we have made it a habit to visit Indigo Moon. It is AMAZING and something I look forward to every year. I think Indigo Moon's aesthetic is perfect and I am always impressed with the food. I can't wait to go back!

Outstanding service and food. Fancy but not too fancy. Kid friendly. I recommend the duck!

From the minute we walked in the door the staff and ambience was just perfect. The outdoor dining and patio areas are delightful. We had the Angus burger with coleslaw, and the cheese tortellini with spinach and mushrooms, both very good!

The food was absolutely amazing. Happened to catch a night where Lobster Bisque was a special... the best I've had in my life. I am so very in love with this restaurant.

This is a review of their wine and cheese shop next door... What a fabulous little find! Stephen was a delightful host and gave us a little tasting of several reds. The petite sirah from Chronic sellars satisfied our palette and we found ourselves winding down the evening on the cozy back sitting area, surrounded by intricate succulents and a soothing soundtrack. Highly recommend!!

Very nice place to eat in Cambria. We had Sunday brunch. Food was very good. We ordered two of their featured omlettes, plus wine and mimosas, about $50 for two. It's a garden restaurant; the atmosphere on the deck was very pleasant and relaxing.

Excellent food. The cheese tray with figs was excellent with a bottle of white wine and the steamed clams were phenomenal! We will definitely eat here again!

Salad was good. Cheese plate was very small. Got the order to go and drove to the beach to eat and they forgot the dressing. Bummed.

Great food and service. GF and dog friendly. Came in with a group of eight and a dog during weekend brunch hour without a reservation and they were able to seat us pretty quickly in the back patio. Our server was super knowledgeable about the menu and catered to us very well. We had 3 GF people in the group and everyone left satisfied. Ordered: lobster omeletThis had actual pieces of lobster!! Most places with lobster anything only sprinkle in shreds of lobster to get by. They actually had half inch sized pieces stuffed in the egg with cuts of asparagus and cheese. It was delicious. Quality ingredients made everything taste fresh.If you're in town, be sure to stop here.

Great restaurant! If you are driving the California pacific coast highway, stop here. The seafood (particularly the salmon) is fantastic. Good selection of food options. Easy parking.

This place was perfection. I loved every thing about Indigo Moon. The warm atmosphere, the decor, the beautiful art work from local artists and of course the menu! Everything we ordered was delightful and full of fresh flavors that didn't rely on a lot of heavy sauces and creams. Just great good. I can't wait to come back here on my next trip to Cambria. Indigo moon for me is a knockout. Every time I've eaten there, and it's been several times, the food is always fresh tasty and perfect. As the menu seems to change a bit, I will say this get up there and give it a try. I love it. Walk-in check out the menu and enjoy

Great food. Friendly service, good menu. It's a good restaurant when another table says "I'll have what they're having."

We were party of 6,so we had a chance to try almost all the menu. Rack of Lamb was served with some red and sweet souce,which contradicted with the test of meat. Duck confit was ok,bit of dry. Risotto with mushrooms was also ok,but nothing close to wow. My friend really liked Shank. What everyone liked was sweet potato fries,which kind of weird ,as in restaurant there should be some other choices to love.

This was an experience. From the music to the food to the all around ambience.. Our server was a delight and attentive. She made us feel welcome. It's pricey but completely worth it.

I love the food, I usually get the fish tacos but occasionally veer away from that to try something new. The sweet potato fries are the best!! And there is a beautiful patio to sit on.

Indigo Moon is a lovely restaurant in Cambria CA. The food is exceptional and the menu has a wonderful variety...with daily specials. Tonight we enjoyed swordfish and chimichurri skirt steak. Plan to return on Friday for New Zealand rack of lamb and Calamari Piccata. Cozy interior and lovely covered garden seating. Bon Appetit!Back again! Indigo Moon is now our favorite restaurant. Hubby had trout with a verde salsa and I had sole with white wine lemon sauce. The wild rice mixed with risotto is exceptional. Had Pot de creme orange chocolate with plenty of "home made" whip cream...Aaaamazing! Also love the staff!. See pictures...

Great food and service. On par with the top places to eat in town.

Lunch selection is limited, breakfast selection is good. Omelette and eggs Benedict was good. Potatoes were a little bit too salty. Atmosphere was great and waiter was great.

This spot simply knows how to serve their clients. Constantly with a kind demeanor. The food is fairly priced, regularly delicious and neat.

If you are going to charge me 32 bucks for a steak you should be able to cook it properly. By the time the second steak came out, my group was finished and and even then it wasn't cooked correct. The lady filled our water glasses didn't even notice she dumped water all on the table. Was kinda in her own world. Food was overly priced, bland and the service was just awful.

This restaurant was a great surprise. Looks tiny on the outside but they have plenty of space in the back. The back room is part indoor outdoor very cozy and i fell in love! Food was so delicious. I had the fresh farmers cheese tortellini which was the best I've had. Great wine selection and craft beer selection. If you're in the area you must stop by.

An upscale ambience in a casual home setting, with pleasant music and an attractive setting. The service was accommodating and timely. We ordered the soup of the day, Thai noodles with shrimp, and the Greek salad. The food was was esthetically presented and abundant, and of course, a delight to consume.
